This is a circular trail that starts on National Road 202 near Chão do Pasto and takes hikers on an unforgettable journey through the island's highlands. Following the Levada da Serra do Faial, the route reveals a hidden forest — a true paradise to be discovered. Along the way you can observe various species of flora and fauna, immersing yourself in the natural sounds and magnificent landscapes this trail has to offer.

Because this is an unofficial trail, keep in mind:
- No official status or signage — conditions may change without notice. Check locally for access before heading out.
- At 15.9 km and rated hard, it's a demanding full-day hike — allow plenty of time and start early.
- Bring adequate supplies (water, food, layers) as there are no facilities along the route.
