This route starts in the town of Camacha and takes hikers on a pleasant journey through a hidden forest, carried out side by side with the levada. Along the path you'll find several species of Madeira's native flora and fauna, accompanied by the natural, enveloping sound of running water. From time to time the forest opens up to beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
The full route goes all the way to Pico do Infante, one of the higher peaks in the area, rewarding those who make the climb with sweeping vistas across the island's southern coast and interior valleys.

Since this is a longer, hard-rated route, would you like me to check the mountain weather forecast and any IPMA warnings for the day you're planning to go, or suggest shorter/easier official PR trails near Camacha as an alternative?
