Tell me about the Path of Funduras hike in Madeira
💭 Thinking
The user is asking about the "Path of Fundures" hike in Madeira. Let me search for this trail in ourhikes database. The Path of Funduras is NOT an official IFCN PR trail — it's a community route from AllTrails. I need to present it with the proper caveats about its unofficial status, and describe it from the data provided. Let me also find a video and check the terrain for context.Let me compile the information about the Path of Funduras. This is a community/unofficial trail (not an official IFCN PR trail), so I need to present it with that caveat clearly stated. Key facts: - Name: Path of Funduras (Rota do Caminho das Funduras) - It's a community route from AllTrails, NOT an official IFCN PR trail - Rating: 4.1★ from 27 reviews on AllTrails - Difficulty: Hard - Length: 16.4 km - Route type: Loop - Estimated time: 6–6.5 hours - Area: Madeira Natural Park - Start/End: Miradouro da Portela (elevation ~589m) - Coordinates: 32.74677, -16.8265 - Description: Circular route starting and ending at Miradouro da Portela, with views over the north coast, running through the Machico mountain range on the south side. Crosses small villages before reaching the forest area of the Funduras Mountains, then enters the Laurissilva forest. The "Casa das Funduras" is a little further ahead which supports forestry. I need to clearly label this as an unofficial/community trail, not part of the IFCN PR network, and note it has no official open/closed status. Let me also get a video to show thetrail.

⚠️ Important note

This is a community route mapped on AllTrails — it is not part of Madeira's official PR (Percurso Recomendado) trail network managed by IFCN, the regional government's forests and nature-conservation authority. That means it has no official open/closed status and no guarantee of maintenance or waymarking. Check access and conditions locally before setting out.
