The trail follows a pedestrian path on the Paul da Serra plateau. You start by walking to the first viewpoint at Pico da Urze, where you're treated to a sweeping panoramic view over the island's largest valley, carpeted in Laurissilva forest. The Rabaçal viewpoint, also at Pico da Urze on the plateau, offers memorable landscapes overlooking a vast wooded area and the Rabaçal valley below — one of the most iconic viewpoints in Madeira.
The full loop covers 7.4 km and is rated hard, so expect some steep and uneven sections. Allow around 3.5–4 hours.
