These terms govern your use of OpenMadeira (openmadeira.org), operated by Madeira Friends Enterprise, Lda. By using the service you agree to them.

The service

OpenMadeira is a civic-transparency tool that answers questions about Madeira's public funding using published official sources. Answers are generated by AI and may be incomplete or inaccurate: always verify figures against the cited sources. The service is informational only and is not legal, financial or professional advice.

Accounts & credits

Some features require an account. Each account receives a number of credits; one credit is used per answered question. Credits have no monetary value, are non-transferable and non-refundable. We may change credit allocations and introduce paid top-ups in future. Do not misuse, scrape or attempt to disrupt the service.

Your content & AI improvement

You keep ownership of the content you submit. By using OpenMadeira you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use your inputs and the generated responses to operate, maintain and improve the service. Your chats may be reviewed by our team and used to train and improve our AI models. Please do not submit confidential information or personal data you would not want to be reviewed.

Data & liability

Underlying data comes from public sources and is provided "as is" without warranty of accuracy or completeness. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Madeira Friends Enterprise, Lda is not liable for decisions made on the basis of information from the service. These terms are governed by the law of Portugal.
